Our Vision
A Social Order Transformed by the Gospel
Mother Church directs the laity to “exercise the apostolate by their activity directed to the evangelization and sanctification of men and to the penetrating and perfecting of the temporal order through the spirit of the Gospel. In this way, their temporal activity openly bears witness to Christ and promotes the salvation of men” (Apostolicam Actuositatem 2). Our desire for a holy and virtuous society cannot be built without holy and virtuous people, which is why we begin our mission in the parish, centered around the Eucharist.
Who We Are
We are Catholic missionaries whose apostolate exists for the evangelization of the city, starting with the parish. We foster community in and around the sacraments, journeying alongside individuals and families through intentional relationships, accompanying them into deeper maturity in Christ as missionary disciples, a greater understanding of the Catholic faith and its social teachings, and service to the poor. We aim to assist parishioners as they grow in divine intimacy, discover their apostolate, and sanctify the temporal order.
We are faithful to the magisterium in all of the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. We serve under joyful obedience to our Bishop of Lafayette, Louisiana, Bishop J. Douglas Deshotel.
